This song truly connects my heart to the heart of the orphan in a way that is hard to describe...I can feel their heart cry through this song.....but it also is a song that gives hope, even in the midst of the despair of being abandoned. There is always HOPE! Beautiful, deep and yes, very moving!

Your very nice vocal performance can't hide the fact that this song is too slow, too long and too boring. It's so slow that I can't keep up with what its supposed to be about. Your singing is very good but I just can't follow the meaning of this song. Sorry.

I hope this song not only brings emotion, but causes those to who year it to reach into their pockets and spend money for the babies. We did, and do, and never miss a nickle spend on the little ones. Michael & Daniel

Sweet voice....music and lyrics are...um...amateur. I know it's hard to criticize a young and hopeful artist. I'm sure you and all of your friends that voted for this are nice enough people, but genuinely excellent music on this site is overlooked simply as a result of the relative ease which one can turn a talent search into a Junior High popularity contest!!!!!!

oh, shut up mugwump. i'm not her friend, and i think this is one of the better songs on here. the lyrical use of the pieces of different lullabies are amazingly original. her voice is more than just sweet, it's poignant and wistful and mature, and full of longing. this song is pretty near perfect, and deserves to be number 1. 5 stars from me.

Looks like we have 2 trolls. Newguy1 AND Mugwump3. I think this sounds great and deserves to be in the place that it is at! #1! Mugwump must be mad because he doesn't have enough friends to get Hero Inside You moving up the charts. Except maybe newguy1. Anyway, I loved this one last week as it was high in the charts and I love it no less today. PS: I don't know Rebecca - she's not my friend.

I definitely don't get how this song qualifies as "mediocre at best". The simplicity of the lyrics and piano (which is played very, very well, I might add) really add to the telling of the story, which is well crafted, lyrically. It's a little long, but worth it, in my opinion.

Sounds like something you would hear playing over the credits of a tear-jerker episode of Law and Order SVU. The solo piano is very nice and excellent vocals but I think it needs a little more dramatic production near the end. Love to hear more from this artist.

What a profoundly emotional work of art. As the father of a severely mentally disabled boy this song hit me hard because i often wonder what he feels and whether it's hollowness or happiness. Through your song i felt both the emptiness of dispair and the hope of a better life in your simple yet deeply moving lyrics. Your song said things I wish i could communicate to him. i'm 49 and haven't cried for years...till now.
