Great song by some handsome dudes!

I love this song, could listen to it over and over and over again!

Is there a melody or a hook to be found in this song? I like you guys, but this song is not your best effort. It is well performed but not well written. Sorry, just my opinion.

goodcook: That's a bit harsh. Maybe it's just not hooking you. Anyway, we'll own up to the fact that this a less pop-oriented song. It doesn't offer instant gratification, but it does tend to grow on people. Nice to here that you like us. You don't have to apologize for giving your opinion.

Thanks AV - I wasn't looking for it to be pop oriented, but I gave it another listen. Something's got to grab the listener, the melody is pretty uninteresting, a good lead guitar part with some fills would certainly help and the lyrics pretty much say the same thing over and over again. That's all I meant. You guys are very good, but I still don't think this song is your best effort. I think you can make it a good song, consider a re-write and some lead guitar.

This song is a bit like a great independent film, perhaps not a good fit for popularity charts, a winner for those who find beauty in the simple and plain, and then get worked up about it

Writting and playing what you feel and have felt. Do it for yourself if it feels right. I like it, a bit of country feel to it. You have a god-given talent. I have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. They all have guitars (thanks to Grampa) and play....or mess around with them. My oldest grandson is 12 years old and now has his own Strat. I love to teach him new tunes. He picks them up quickly and loves to play. So, I can relate to the name and the content of this song pretty well....I was 13 when I got my first guitar.
