Genre: 'Alt Country' 'Country' 'Southern Rock'

Atticus Cage wrote his first song in junior high -- something about showing the gym teacher who's boss. He later attained his first national music publishing deal in his late 20s, mostly on the strength of his stage charisma. Although his little brother, Quentin, warned him to never question authority, nor his college professors' and their dearly held doxies and preachments, Atticus found that just "going along to get along" didn't suit the intrepidity of his temperament. So he became ever more serious about becoming very open minded about the world, very inquisitive about history, human kind's nature, meaning, morality, philosophy, and destiny. Soon he discovered the works of Cicero, Churchill, Thucydides, Charlemagne, Augustine, Sir Isaac Newton, George MacDonald, Dorothy Sayers, Pope John Paul The Second, Margaret Thatcher, and Ronald Reagan, among others. Gradually Atticus' lyrics migrated more often toward matters more meaningful than simple self-centered pop songs. One of those which he composed merely as a diary-style catharsis took on a life of its own. And a title that sounded more like a sermon than a serenade. "Speaking Of Hell" is the first of an EP of tendentious, musical rants from Mr. Cage to confront several facets of ineptitude, and cultural derogation encroaching civilization here in the 21st century. If ideas have consequences, as has been said, then good ideas must, or should, have good consequences. It seems that those are exactly what Atticus Cage hopes to precipitate through his profession.
